The Government Information Unit provides the information
services to the Executive on behalf of the Office of the Chief
Minister. The overall goal of the Government Information Unit
is to establish and maintain mutual understanding between the
Government and the Public through the management of open
communication links that promotes the effective dissemination of
information and also includes an appropriate level of public
consultation.
The Government Information Unit promotes the flow of information
by liasing with a range or organisations. These organisations
include private sector groups, non-government organisations,
government departments, and other public agencies. The Unit is
constantly reviewing its processes and methodologies to find
ways of improving the effective timely delivery of information.
